Sodium butyrate is a short-chain fatty acid that helps enhance and restore the growth of beneficial intestinal bacteria which could support healthy microbial diversity.

It also maintains gastrointestinal mucosal-membrane health and optimal intestinal health, relieves digestive discomfort, including abdominal pain and the symptoms of medically diagnosed irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
