These flexible sheets are coated with a Dupont Teflon surface for preparing your
fruit leathers, rollups & natural sweet treats.
ParaFlexx Sheets (formally called Teflex) are used for dehydrating semi-liquids
(such as pureed fruits) or really sticky items that would normally drip through
the mesh sheets that are included with the dehydrator. The foods peel off quickly
& clean up is easy. Sheets are made specifically so you can use them over & over
again.
They are also very useful when drying products that drip. Placing one in a tray
at the bottom of the dryer saves having to clean drips off the base unit. The trays
and sheets can be placed in the dishwasher after use.
These super flexible non-stick sheets are easy to clean and reusable for years.
The important difference between the two sheets is the coating used - where the
ParaFlexx Premium sheets are coated with a Dupont Teflon for the non-stick surface,
the Ultra sheets use Silicone.
ParaFlexx Premium sheets have a slightly longer life than the ParaFlexx Ultra (silicone)
sheets, and don't flake or chip easily as they are very durable. The Teflon used
in their coating shouldn't ever be a worry, as the highest temperature the Excalibur
Dehydrator can reach is not hot enough to release any toxins. Additionally, the
Premium sheets are slightly thinner than the Ultra, which results in better dehydration.
