Features 3 way filtration with a high quality Doulton Ultracarb filter.
The Doulton HCS is a free-standing stainless steel countertop water filter system that requires no electricity, nor any permanent connection to your faucet, and comes complete with a Doulton UltraCarb ceramic filter.
To operate, simply turn the knob on the diverter to send water through the filter system and out the spout. Turn the diverter knob back to allow water to flow normally though your kitchen faucet.
The Ultracarb has 3 way filtration. Ceramic wall, Solid Carbon Block and Ion Exchange Resin for heavy metal removal. Solid carbon is slightly more effective at removing chlorine than the gravity filter with activated carbon. Ion exchange resin removes heavy metals.
This durable and easy to clean stainless steel system connects to your existing kitchen tap, with no plumbing required. By simply switching the diverter valve, this filter system will supply clean, safe drinking water.
The Ultracarb ceramic cartridge will filter 2,300 litres, which is about 6-9 months of use.
Dimensions: 300mm H x 110mm W

Why do we need to filter our drinking water?
Town or municipal water can contain variable levels of contaminants such as chlorine, bacteria, cryptosporidium, giardia, rust, etc. Private water supplies such as wells, bores, springs, streams and rainwater tanks have not been treated, so can easily be contaminated with bacteria, cryptosporidium and giardia.
Any water can contain large amounts of unwanted impurities such as mud, silt, rust, etc. The pipes carrying and supplying the water may be adding impurities as well.
