Sprouts from organically produced broccoli seeds
Broccoli sprouts contain a naturally-occurring compound called sulforaphane glucosinolate, which has, according to research, an antioxidant action which is helpful in maintaing a healthy circulatory system. As well as being nutritionally beneficial, they have a fresh taste and make an interesting addition to salads and other dishes.
Broccoli seeds contain vitamins: A, B, C, D, E, and K, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphate, potassium, zinc, carotene and chlorophyll. 1oz contains as many antioxidants as 3lb of whole broccoli!
How to use Broccoli seeds for sprouting:
Before sowing, rinse thoroughly in fresh water. For best results, sow seeds thinly. Germination time may vary with temperature.
- Amount per tray / jar: 1 tablespoons of seeds
- Temperature: 18 – 22°C
- Water: Twice daily
- Ready to eat: After approximately 3 to 6 days
- Ingredients: Organically grown Broccoli seeds.
