Fresh organic vegetables every day from a couple of square feet of counter space. Sprouts are a powerhouse of nutrition. They have been grown by many civilizations over the past 5,000 years. Sprouts have outstanding nutritional value. They are rich in protein as well as vitamin A, the vitamin B complex, vitamin C and vitamin E, as well as various minerals and enzymes.
The automatic sprouter by EasyGreen™ takes the mess out of sprouting.
If you love consuming fresh sprouts but
have had difficulty with the continuing process required to grow them, such as
pre-soaking and rinsing (between 3 and 6 times a day), then this sprouter is the
perfect compliment to your living food kitchen.
The EasyGreen™ sprouter automatically soaks, rinses, mists,
oxygenates and drains the sprouts – ready for you to eat in a matter of days.
This sprouter has 5 trays so you can sprout an abundant mix of organic sprouting
seeds at the one time such as alfalfa, broccoli, lentil, mung, sunflower and
wheatgrass. It is quite a large unit, capable of producing quite a few sprouts.
We have 5 people in our family and the sprouter is able to keep us constantly
supplied with sprouts.
Within the cavity of the sprouter sit the 5 rectangular trays in which you place
the seeds for sprouting. These can be filled with soil if you prefer that method
of sprouting, or otherwise damp paper towels. Alternatively, you can just place
the seeds directly onto the trays and they sprout without the soil or base ...
it is really dependant upon which seeds you use as to the best method to adopt.
EasyGreen™ Sprouter is the
easiest sprouter to use
1. Seeds that are sprouting generate heat during germination and need to be
cooled to avoid mould and rotting. This seed sprouter is so successful because
water is misted onto the seed using a timer set to 96 activations. This is
critical to controlling the humidity which affects the sturdiness of your
sprouts.
2. People in warm climates often say they have difficulty preventing mould. With
this seed sprouter, you can add a few drops of hydrogen peroxide to the water
which disinfects the sprouts and prevents the formation of mould.
3. This sprouter uses about 2.3 litres of water in 24 hours due to its fine
misting activity. Some automatic irrigation systems use 5 times this amount.
4. Conventional sprouters require a pre-soaking operation of 8 hours up to
24hrs, before commencing the propagation of the seed. The EasyGreen™ requires NO
pre-soaking. Seeds are placed in the tray or cartridge DRY and the machine takes
over, thus saving you an extra day of pre-soaking and the manual handling of the
repeat daily rinsing.
5. The in-built reservoir allows you to choose the type of water you want
sprayed over your sprouts and allows for liquid minerals to be added such as
kelp to further assist growth.

Some features of the EasyGreen™
sprouter
The EasyGreen™ sprouting appliance was developed out of the growing demand for
organic health food. The EasyGreen™ unique technology empowers the individual to
maintain a high potency immune system, by providing natural vitamins, mineral
and enzymes that no other food or artificial supplements can rival. Here are few
reasons for our unique sprouting technology:
Seeds generate chemical heat during germination and need to be cooled to avoid
mould and rotting. The EasyGreen™ uses a patented technology where mist and
oxygen are applied simultaneously to the seeds, thus both cooling the seed’s
water and air and oxygenating the seeds and water. Sprouts require little water
but abundant amounts of oxygen. Other automated sprouters and conventional
sprouting methods supply plenty of water yet only provide natural air
displacement.
Crop management
a. Sprouts taken out of conventional systems need to be placed in a secondary
pan such as a Tupperware for refrigeration. EasyGreen™ cartridges with unused
sprouts can be placed directly into refrigeration for later use.
b. Some sprouting systems have a round shape. The EasyGreen™ uses rectangular
cartridges and trays, allowing refrigeration of unused portions of a tray or
cartridge using minimal space.
c. Other systems don’t use trays and the sprouts are germinated in the actual
growing compartment without an intermediate container, thus needing to be
removed into another tool for refrigeration. The EasyGreen™ uses removable
cartridges and trays for the ultimate convenience.
d. The EasyGreen™ has an automatic disinfecting cycle. It is easy to keep high
sanitary conditions within the machine. Only large commercial systems have a
similar function!
e. According to Dr. Ann Wigmore, a 5-day growing cycle for seeds such as
alfalfa, broccoli, radish, clover and the similar is ideal. The EasyGreen™
system is the only one in the market using 5x cartridges, allowing a rotation
system, indicating which cartridge is ready for harvest. No need to write dates
on each jar or bag!
f. According to Dr. William S. Peavy, author of ‘Super Natural Gardening’
sprouts needs to be consumed on the 5th or 6th day of germination, thereafter
the young sprouts use their abundant amounts of minerals and vitamins for their
own growing process. It is important to consume sprouts fresh and around the 5th
day of germination. No other sprouter can supply an automatic indication of
which cartridge is now on its 5th day.
g. The Mist Generator™ the heart of the machine, uses 120v/60Hz and is rated at
only .55Amp, using a negligible amount of electricity.
h. Modularity- the EasyGreen™ is the only system in the world that can stack up
5 or 6 EasyGreen™ machines. You may start with one machine and expand as your
needs change. There is no need to dispose of an old system to purchase a larger
sprouter. Thus, adhering to the needs of an individual as well as a large
family.
