The impurities from tap water are filtered through what Jupiter Science has dubbed 'BioStone'. This revolutionary filter is made of a ceramic, which contains some of the semi-precious mineral Tourmaline. Tourmaline changes the surface tension of the water by NATURALLY emitting far infrared energy (FIR), making it easier for the ioniser to process and begin the negative ion creation process. Even with the 'Purified Only' water you'll get more of the antioxidant effect with the alkalinised water, without an accompanying increase in alkalinity. Coral Calcium in the Filter:
There's more! Jupiter has now incorporated Coral Calcium in their filters.
In mineral deficient water, such as a water tank, this assists in the ionisation, and helps to maintain our calcium balance internally. Also a more benign form of fluoride is created when calcium unites with sodium fluoride and converts it to calcium fluoride. An ideal 2:1 ratio of calcium and magnesium is found in Coral Calcium along with a host of essential trace minerals.

Surfactant effect (makes water wetter) increases by around 100% as it negatively ionises water and supports extra negative ionisation in the water alkaliser.

Electrolysis Chamber (Water Cell)
The water cell is the heart of all Jupiter ionisers. Manufactured in Japan to standards that makes Jupiter the company of choice for large corporations such as LG, Samsung, Toyo and Hyundai - your Venus is guaranteed to not only make ideal alkaline and acid water but to continue to make the same quality water year after year.

Jupiter Science has used a proprietary matting between the Venus cell electrodes. With any water ioniser, it is essential that this material allow water to pass during ionisation. What can happen, however, is that, unless there is an automatic cleaning cycle, very hard water will leave deposits on this material and eventually lower its transfer efficiency. The new proprietary matting used in the water cell is extremely resistant to mineral deposits. Lime, iron, and other minerals are "sloughed off" enabling better ionisation for a long period of time.
The inner structure of the water cell also enables a much better acid from alkaline water separation. This enhanced segregation between alkaline and acid water results in more efficient ionisation as well as better isolation of any remaining chlorine or fluoride.

This combination of efficient draining, improved matting, and revised inner structure enables the Venus to operate very efficiently on only one clean cycle of 10 seconds per every 20 litres.

User Controls
The Venus controls have been designed with the Western kitchen in mind.
The new control panel is membrane sealed making it easy to clean. A gentle touch on the buttons is all that is needed to change any setting.

Jupiter Masterpiece Controls
a - Shows the different level of acid or alkaline.
b - Gives an estimate of filter life - when last bar turns red it is time to order a new filter.
c - Alkaline Water Indicator - illuminates when alkaline water is selected.
d - Acid Water Indicator - illuminates when acid water is selected. A tune will always play when acid is selected or when Venus is in clean mode.
e - Filtered Water Indicator - illuminates when filtered water is selected (filtered is clean but neither more acidic or alkaline).
f - Press this button for filtered water to come out the flexible drinking water hose.
g - Press this button for acidic water to come out the flexible drinking water hose.
h - Press this button for alkaline water to come out the flexible drinking water hose.
i - Turns the sounds on and off. Volume level can also be adjusted.
j - Lights up when unit is self cleaning - auto clean for 10 seconds every 20 litres.
k - When this lights up, the unit needs to be serviced.

Flow Control Knob
This special feature has been, until now, only available on much more expensive ionisers.
This enables you to control the flow of water easily on your ioniser which in turn affects the strength of the alkaline water and -ORP. The slower the water flow the more time the water has to be altered by the ionisation process. However, you will find that in almost all cases there will not often be a reason why you would need to slow the flow down due to the exceptional strength of the Venus's ionisation chamber.

The control knob will prove very useful in helping to fine tune your preferred pH level so that you get the exact same pH level every time you use your Venus.

BioStone Far Infrared Filter
In addition to filtering out impurities from tap water, the water ioniser passes the water through the 'BioStone', a ceramic formed of the semi-precious mineral Tourmaline. Tourmaline NATURALLY emits far infrared energy (FIR) and changes the surface tension of the water, making it easier to process for the ioniser by beginning the negative ion creation process. This increases the antioxidant effect with the alkalinised water, without an accompanying increase in alkalinity. Tourmaline has been researched and found to activate animal & plant metabolism. It incorporates the very latest polymer ion separation technology, which is patented by Jupiter* Science. It makes Jupiter* Science ionisers capable of the best range of pH and negative antioxidant ions of any system, making this unit at least comparable to any alkaline water ioniser on the market. These new filters will be the standard for all future Jupiter* models. BioStone filters are available in .1 micron and .01 micron forms. The .01 micron filters provide finer filtration than the .1 micron filter.

Voltage Regulator
This special feature allows for exception user control as you can now reduce the voltage if your water is very hard or increase the voltage if your water is very soft. In Australia there are places like Mount Gambier and Mount Isa where there is a lot of extra calcium in the water and this water is called hard.

Because a high level of minerals (or TDS) will produce a higher than average pH you may wish to reduce the voltage so that your acid and alkaline settings show a good range of choices. On the other hand in places like Seattle the water lacks minerals and is called soft. By increasing the voltage in these areas you can get a high alkaline pH as well as a good acid pH.

The Venus is the updated version of the Jupiter Mavello and Jupiter Microlite. With all the features of the Microlite and Mavello, it now enjoys a number of important additions, yet remains at the same low price.
