The water purification process
1. Ordinary tap water is heated to 212°F (100°C) killing microbes such as bacteria, cysts and viruses that may be present.
2. Steam rises leaving behind dead microbes, dissolved solids, salts, heavy metals and other substances.
3. Low boiling light gases are discharged through a gaseous vent.
4. Pure steam is condensed.
5. Purified/distilled water then percolates through a coconut shell carbon filter, enhancing quality by aeration, degasification, and adsorption of VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
6. The 100% steam distilled water is now ready for drinking and cooking. This stylish contemporary unit incorporates a post carbon treatment system and a recessed heating base to reduce scale build-up. As the tap water used in the process turns into vapour, all impurities are left behind.

By condensing it back to water, a pure clean water - with no bacteria or inorganic minerals - is produced from the steam. How it Works
By heating ordinary tap water to 100°C, the Waterwise kills any bacteria and viruses that may be present. As the steam rises, dissolved solids, impurities and other contaminants are left behind.

The pure steam is captured and condensed in the stainless steel coil, where it begins to cool. The high quality distilled water then percolates through a coconut shell carbon filter that is kept free from bacteria by the purity of the distilled water.

The pure, distilled water is captured in the 4 litre storage bottle in around 4.5 hours. Compared to about $6 for bottled water, our home water distillers can make 4 litres of top quality water for about 25c.
